Our rehearsals begin on Monday, September 10th (7:30-9:30) in the sanctuary of the historic Blooming Grove United Church of Christ (Rt. 94 at Old Dominion Rd.).
We are extremely proud to announce that our winter holiday concerts will be presentations of G. F. Handel's "The Messiah" (Part 1), with orchestra and soloists, Jody Weatherstone, Kristine MacMillin, Nicholas Augustus, and Ron DeFesi. Concert venues for these performances are Blooming Grove United Church of Christ (December 9th at 4:00PM) and Goshen's First Presbyterian Church (December 15th at 7PM). Each concert is open to the public without charge. Donations to offset concert costs are always appreciated.
Bursting with pride, we announce that Classic Choral Society has once again been invited by Mid-America Productions to perform at Carnegie Hall in NYC. This will be our 4th engagement at this world-famous venue! CCS singers will perform John Rutter's "Magnificat" in the breath-taking Stern Auditorium of Carnegie Hall with the New England Symphonic Ensemble, under the baton of Maestro Brent Ballweg, on Sunday afternoon, January 13, 2008 at 2PM. This is an exciting opportunity for all choral singers. The weekend (F/Sa/Su) of final concert preparations in New York City is a truly unforgettable experience!
